Cars, Race, Right

Ever since catching a glimpse of Cars on the Disney Channel Abby's been wanting to watch cars and trucks and see races. Luckily, we own the movie so she can get her fix any time. It's also lucky that GE had a "Night at the Drags" on Friday so we got to take Abby to a 1/4 mile track and watch cars race. We thought the noise would scare her (we held her ears when it got too loud) but she loved it... for a little while.

All that was missing was the Buehler's and boiled peanuts (Savannah memories)

Abby's also been enjoying the summer, playing at the pool...

and with her bumble bee ride on...

she found it didn't work too well on the grass.

She's also enjoyed Caroline's company camping out (in the living room)...

The 4th and stuff...

Again, we have another post with some catching up to do. We lost our camera for nearly a month so we're a little short on pictures, but there's still plenty of cuteness.

We took Abby to a very small parade for the 4th. She enjoyed seeing some horses and a few trucks, but was fairly unimpressed with the rest of the show.

However, she was VERY impressed with a 4th of July cupcake

Abby has been camera shy lately saying it's too "bright" resulting in some not so cute faces. She loved posing with daddy though!

Abby playing outside and looking for bunnies. She's only seen a bunny in this bush once, but she checks it just about every time we're outside.

In baby news, the ultrasound is next week so we'll be finding out if baby #2 is a boy or girl so check back!

Even Newer Carter

Abby will be a big sister in December! He or she is due to arrive December 10th and we are all very excited. He/she is a little shy and wouldn't show their face, but here's your first view at our latest nugget!

Slackers

Okay, so we have been terrible at updating this site. Here is another catch-up post from the past few weeks. Abby has become obsessed with bubbles and wanted to share the fun with her friends Nathan and Sydney. We also tried some summer fun and so far it has been pretty unsuccessful... both the sprinkler and the pool have brought her to tears.

Catching Up...

It's been over a month since our last post so we thought we'd play catch up and post a few pics and videos of what Abby's been up to. Aside from a few short trips to parks we've mostly stayed at home, working in the yard and enjoying some of the mild weather. This has given Abby the time to do a little reading and learn some colors, numbers and letters.... and of course she's been goofing around. She enjoys dressing up and practicing walking in huge shoes.

She's mastered watching TV upside down.

and using anything as a hat (no we didn't let her put a plastic bag over her head)

and lazy Sunday's are always nice.

She's also opened up Club Abby where girls and monsters can dance and have fun

She's finally found a love for spaghetti and meatballs
