Slackers

Okay, so we have been terrible at updating this site. Here is another catch-up post from the past few weeks. Abby has become obsessed with bubbles and wanted to share the fun with her friends Nathan and Sydney. We also tried some summer fun and so far it has been pretty unsuccessful... both the sprinkler and the pool have brought her to tears.

Catching Up...

It's been over a month since our last post so we thought we'd play catch up and post a few pics and videos of what Abby's been up to. Aside from a few short trips to parks we've mostly stayed at home, working in the yard and enjoying some of the mild weather. This has given Abby the time to do a little reading and learn some colors, numbers and letters.... and of course she's been goofing around. She enjoys dressing up and practicing walking in huge shoes.

She's also opened up Club Abby where girls and monsters can dance and have fun

Easter

Last weekend we headed to an egg hunt with the Pembers. It was a bit cold and overwhelming for the girls, but they each got a couple eggs. Not bad for their first try. This past weekend we went up to Columbus to celebrate Easter and snuck in a visit to the zoo. Abby got to see the elephants (her favorite) up close and went on her first carousel ride.

Abby is enjoying all the spring flowers coming up. She likes to go from flower to flower and smell them or at least get a really close look! The last pic is her first attempt at fashion. I love it - not quite shirtless, but not quite fully clothed.

Slidin'

Abby has really, really enjoyed getting outside the past few days. Every morning after breakfast she goes to the backdoor and asks/commands, 'Outside?' and 'Slide?' Half of the fun is the swing set, but the other half is collecting the brown pods off the ground from the trees. She's holding them in just about every picture posted. Only the promise of cheese or bath time will bring her back in without tears.

Sarah's Wedding

Abby got to show off her dancing skills this weekend at Sarah's (Chris' cousin) wedding. After she warmed up to the crowd we had a wonderful time!
